Nothing~

Mon Jun 15, 2009, 1:28 AM
So there hasn't been much going on in my life.
A lot of dental work but is not much. Well is a lot but meh can handle. And a sudden realization, cold fried rice is delicious xD

Will get photography up and running again when I get motivation to run around the city and take pictures oh things. I think I just lost my imagination for a while. Will have it soon I hope.

So it has been almost two weeks sense my fathers car accident. He is now home and doing much better. His hip has a couple fracture but they will heal on their own. So for a little while he will need to walk with crutches (even though he seems to do fine with one). His surgical incision is healing nicely and his chest tube opening is on its way to being healed. He is to keep the bandages on his side dry, so not full showers yet. I am glad that he is doing as well as he is in such short time given the condition he was in when he was flown to the hospital.

Even still putting up with grandma is a task, but I will be out of dad's house from Thursday till Monday. What with Acen and all. But he is fine and can manage on his own. That's all for now.

So the past two days have been... eventful. Wednesday morning I was woken up by my sister who was on the phone with my mother. My father had been in a serious accident. He was air lifted to Lutheran General Hospital. I am sitting in the S.I.C.U (Surgical Intensive Care Unit) waiting room, while my mother and grandmother are int he room with my dad. He is slowly recovering from his crash.

He was driving on his way to work, when a man in a truck turned out of his lane and collided with the driver's side door of my fathers car. It being an old car, it did not have airbags. He ruptured his spleen, tore his diaphragm, and was bleeding heavily internally. The medics had to bust the passenger window and pull him out of the window, as the doors were smashed shut. When he arrived at the hospital, he was circling the drain. He was loosing blood faster then they could give it to him. He went through three bags of blood (I believe they are either a liter or a pint. The human body only has about 5 pints ). While waiting at home for my brother to pick me up, my mother called to tell us they did not know if operation would even have a point. So this devastated me and my sister as we waited for our brother. We arrived at the hospital a little after my father went into surgery. They managed to save his spleen, and repair his diaphragm. They stopped the internal bleeding for the day. But last night they said he had begun to loose blood again.

While my father stays in the hospital I am staying at his house with my grandmother (his mother) to clean the house and help her get through it. When he is released I will still stay and help with everything I can. Until he is better I will be there day and night. I will more then likely not be active here, or anywhere outside his house for the next month or so. I will still be attending Acen, but will stay in contact with grandmother in case I need to leave and get home. I will update this every few days with how he, and my family are holding up.

My fathers accident made headlines today in the Northwest Herald. So I will be hanging on to today's paper as a reminder of how fast everything can change.

Because I feel I should update this, seeing as I have not for quite a while. My GED test seems to keep getting postponed due to the fact that I can not get to the registration office. Which sucks. I am hoping to get registered before the summer, that way I can still enjoy a summer vacation. Photography is slowly picking back up as the weather is getting warmer, and I can leave my house more often. I am also overly excited for Acen. Even if I can not get my pass money, I will go and sit around the hotel all day. Better then sitting at home while my friends get to go have a kick ass time. That's really all that is going on in my life (totally exciting, I know), so that's all to say.

There is nothing to do and I am bored. Well nothing to do aside annoying cars on the highway with a laser pointer. I know it's immature but damn it there is nothing to do. Waiting for Kitten to get home.. should be a little under 40-50 minutes from now.

So yeah. Nothin'.
